Project Description

Marciano Winery was interested in reducing their water footprint so WaterSprout created and implemented a plan to intercept existing site drainage. The system collects and filters rainwater from over 16,000 sq ft. of roof and hardscape areas prior to storage in the existing irrigation water tanks and is estimated to collect and use 340,000 gallons annually.  Drought and climate change have taxed the groundwater basins in Northern California’s winemaking region. We believe the best strategy for maintaining groundwater sustainability and long term health of the wine industry is to capture rainwater for irrigation usage.
