Project Description

WaterSprout is making history by installing a Commercial Rainwater System for the first synagogue in the United States to become a net zero energy building. The 500,000 gallon rainwater storage system will be located underneath the parking garage of the new Kol Emeth synagogue in Palo Alto. Kol Emeth, a traditional, egalitarian Conservative synagogue will be one of only two synagogues achieving the certification of LEED Platinum. The building design is adapted to reflect contemporary expressions of faith and identity, which incorporates environmental beliefs in conservation and sustainability. We want to extend a thank you to our friends, GLS Landscape/Architecture and Stuart Welte at Environmental Innovations in Design, who helped collaborate on this project.
